Central Bhutan

The two districts of Trongsa and Bumthang forms the Central Bhutan. This region is separated from the Western part of Bhutan by the Black Mountains. This region has inimitable attractions and is home to many sacred monuments of the country. It is also known for its buckwheat and apple production and its sturdy stone houses. The broad valleys and sloping mountains in this region serves as the perfect place for walking.

You may also attend the Nomads festival of Bumthang and delve into the wonders of a living culture of the nomads and play a part in the Matsutake festival of Ura and savor the high altitude mushroom. You can also enjoy numerous festivals including the annual tshechu of Trongsa and Bumthang, the Jampa Lhakhang tshechu, or witness the Ura tshechu that is unique. You may also visit

  • We appreciated this local Travel Agency, because of friendly and experienced Staffs, who are working in it. They always tried to do their best, to make everything perfect, on what you agreed before beginning of the trip. This is important for clients, who decide to travel in Asia, because experienced tourists know, that it's not always like this here. I hope, they will remain the same, when their company will grow up.
